You have the time and ability to do something to help others. Someone has the time and ability to help you. And we keep track of it all.
That's a timebank. It's people coming together to help each other. And for every hour you spend helping members of the timebank, you earn a time credit you can redeem to receive services from other members.
The Sustain Jefferson Timebank website keeps track of all these time transactions. Members go to the website to list services offered, services needed and services completed. The Timebank is an online resource creating a community of people in Jefferson County willing to help each other and providing a way for them to connect.
It costs nothing to join and no dues are required. Members must be 18 years old or older. Applicants are screened and a criminal background check is done through the Wisconsin Consolidated Court Automation Program (CCAP).
